Karla Heredia

President

Karla is a Doctor of Psychology with a Master’s degree in Couple & Family Therapy from Alliant International University; a second Master’s degree in Elementary Education from Loyola Marymount University, a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Child Development from Mount St. Mary’s University, and Board Certified Behavior Analyst.

Karla is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist committed to helping couples, families, individuals, and children in their path to healing. She is particularly passionate about working with individuals, children, and families affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Cindy Bautista

Vice President

Cindy has her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Alliant International University, a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Mount St. Mary’s University.

She treats a variety of concerns including: early trauma, anxiety, depression, parent-child relationship problems, developmental, and behavioral concerns. Her training in Play Therapy, Child-Parent Psychotherapy, and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, allows her to integrate various relational concepts and modalities into her work with families.

Romulo Heredia

CFO / Secretary

Romulo is a Senior Mortgage Loan Officer who received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Business Management and Human Resources degree from Cal State Dominguez Hills.

Romulo has over 17 years of experience as a Mortgage Loan Officer in 23 states. He uses both his Nationwide  Mortgage License System and Real Estate license to help families understand the process of buying a home and making their dreams a reality.

As the CFO/ Secretary of Here and Now Foundation, his team is here to help you understand your insurance benefits and/or what program would best serve you and your family needs. 

Communication is key in relationships. Understanding your financial statements is just the beginning of the many barriers individuals can experience when seeking services. Romulo Heredia and his department is here for you.

Claudia Doty

Clinical Executive Director

Claudia has a Master’s degree in Psychology from Arizona State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from California State University of San Bernardino. She has 12+ years of experience working with kids and families touched by adoption and foster care, working as a mentor for the Children’s Bureau. 

Claudia’s personal experience as a foster child has empowered her to work with prospective parents and participate in conferences to find ways to increase community opportunities.

Joselyn Ayala

Clinical Director of Integrated Health

Joselyn is a Bilingual Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Doctorate in Psychology and a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Alliant International University. She received her Bachelor’s from University of California Irvine in Psychology and Social Behavior and a minor in Chicano studies. 

She believes that being transparent is her best quality as a therapist because it builds trust and honesty.

Nancy Blumrich

Treasurer

Nancy has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the California State University of Dominguez Hills, a certified Bilingual Interpreter and Translator by California State University of Los Angeles, and a state-licensed notary public.

Nancy has over 10 years of experience in the mortgage business, worked as a legal representative for a loan company, and a loan processor always striving to offer the best solutions for her team and clients.

Johnny Carattini

Director of Program Development

John has a Bachelor's of Science degree in business marketing and analytics from Grand Canyon University. In this role, John manages all technological and operational needs to ensure Here and Now Foundation's facilities maintain safety, efficiency, and accreditation standards on a daily basis.

As operations coordinator, John maintains open communication with Here and Now's clinical, medical, admissions, and administrative teams as well as clients and families in order to support all day-to-day functions. 

John also provides leadership, supervision, and training to all staff to uphold clinical standards maintained at the treatment facilities. 

John prides himself on his role in creating a space where safe, effective treatment can occur and looks forward to witnessing the growth of our clients on a daily basis.

Robert Casas

Grant Proposal Supervisor

Robert has his Master’s degree in Social Work with a concentration on Integrated Health at California State University Long Beach. 

Robert has experience working with children, teens, and adults in various social service agencies: Progressive Resources, Respite Cordova, Premiere Health Care Services, YMCA, Whittier Union High School District, and Los Angeles Centers for Alcohol and Drug Abuse.

These agencies have given him knowledge in working with children, teens, and adults both self-referred and court mandated reporting symptoms such as: anxiety, depression, bereavement, bi-polar, anger, substance abuse, homelessness, marital issues, life adjustments, and various forms of trauma.
